Michael’s Last Recordings?

Full view
TMZ are reporting that Audio 4 Video Digital (A4V Digital, Inc.) have filed a creditor’s claim against Michael’s estate for $736,502.59.

Sources connected with the company say that Michael was recording songs shortly before his death and A4V was working on the music when he died. The source also adds that A4V is co-owner of the copyright for the sound recordings.

A4V also claim that they worked with Michael for years, and have a stockpile of his recordings that have never been released.

The many meanings of Michael Jackson's 'This Is It'

Full view
In March, Michael Jackson called a press conference to announce what would have been his swan song as a touring artist: the 50-date concert series at London’s O2 Arena, “This Is It.”

“These will be my final show performances …in London,” said Jackson, haltingly, before a throng of screaming fans in what would be his final public appearance. “This is it! When I say this is it, it really means this is it!” He laughed.

Over the intervening seven months, and with the singer’s untimely death in June, that title has taken on a grave alternate meaning. And now with the release of the feature documentary “Michael Jackson’s This Is It” on Oct. 28, as well as a new song titled “This Is It” that was leaked earlier this month, that terse, three-word title is more front-of-mind than ever.

Latoya: Michael Would Not Be Happy With This Is It

Full view
La Toya Jackson is pleased to hear her late brother Michael Jackson’s return to the airwaves with his “new” single, “This Is It,” but she says Michael would not be happy about the release of the documentary of the same name.

“It’s wonderful to hear something from him because he hasn’t had anything out in awhile,” La Toya told Access Hollywood on Monday night of the King of Pop’s new single, which was released on Monday.

But when it comes to the “This Is It” documentary slated to hit theaters on October 28, La Toya – who has been working as Access Hollywood’s guest correspondent during coverage of “Dancing With the Stars” – said her late brother would not be pleased with the final product being put on display.

“Do you think he would’ve wanted this released?” Access asked her.

“You know what, that’s a very, very, very good question,” La Toya said.

“Truthfully, my opinion – no,” she revealed. “Michael always wants to give his best. This is a rehearsal. He wasn’t giving his all. He loves to give his all always. That’s just the way he is. He wants people to see him at the top of the ladder and not half-stepping because he doesn’t want to do a full-out rehearsal.”

Nevertheless, La Toya said she would still give her full support to the film.

“I will support my brother in any way I can,” she added. “I love him.”
